MTN: MTN Cycling Events

Exp is responsible for activating a number of MTN owned cycling events. Included are the MTN Panarama Tour (four day B2B amateur cycle tour), MTN Zoo Lake Criterium (unique high speed circuit race in Joburg), OFM Classic (3rd largest cycle race in the country that attracts 4,500 participants) and the MTN MTB Series (seven marathon and ultra-marathon events around the country).

Sasol: Sasol League

Exp also run the most senior football league for women, the Sasol League, on behalf of Sasol. Exp activates the league, which features 144 female teams from nine provinces over a period of nine months. Exp’s creative leveraging tactics have seen Sasol elevate women’s football to a very professional level, garnering growing support for the ladies.

Samsung: Meet Your Match Campaign

Exp manages Samsung’s sponsorship of the Bulls and created the integrated campaign ‘Meet your Match with Samsung’, that would not only raise awareness of their sponsorship but also be used as a platform to engage key stakeholders and fans/potential consumers, showcase product and increase sales over the Super 15 tournament. Samsung’s LED TV sales had a massive 216% growth over the 2011 Super 15 period compared to the same period in 2010.

Exp annually manages absa’s headline sponsorship of the Afrikaans arts festival in Oudtshoorn, including various activations including branding the entire town and facilitating media and PR on behalf of Absa as well as all CSI related initiatives. Live TV production on the first and last days, a world first in the history of the sport.

Exp manages the massive U13 schools grassroots programme, which saw 6,000 schools across all nine provinces, participate in the tournament in 2011. The tournament consists of three phases: district play-offs, provincial play-offs and the national finals.

Castle Lager: Castle Lager Superfans

Following the success of the 2010 World Cup campaign which saw the Castle Lager Superfans galvanize the entire nation through a country wide road show, Exp were asked to ensure the Castle Lager Superfans continue in their roles as brand ambassadors for Bafana Bafana in support of their CAF African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. The Castle Lager Superfans where not only Bafana Bafana supporters but also lent their voices and vuvuzelas to the Springboks and the Proteas.
