MTN: Last Fan Standing

Exp conceptualize, activate and mange the Last Fan Standing competition for MTN each year; an MTN8 consumer competition that each year rewards the ultimate fan with a once in a lifetime prize opportunity.

The inaugural edition in 2009 saw a fan ambassador attend 38 World Cup games over 31 days, visiting all ten World Cup Stadiums in nine host cities and in the process lay claim to a Guinness World Record for ‘Most matches attended by an individual at a FIFA World Cup’.

The second edition saw the winner spend an exclusive week at Old Trafford with Manchester United as a result of MTN’s partnership with the club. In 2011 the lucky ultimate fan won an incredible eight top class derbies around the world and R1 million in cash.  The Last Fan Standing competition generated over R10 million in revenue in 2011.
