Absa: Absa Cape Epic

Exp manages Absa’s headline sponsorship of the world’s most grueling eight day mountain bike stage race, the Absa Cape Epic. The event has 22 participating journalist teams with 25 independent international and local journalists; daily 3 minute news package and 26 minutes highlights show distributed globally via satellite from the event. Live TV production on the first and last days, a world first in the history of the sport.

In 2011, Exp activated the Absa Hospitality Area, which offered clients, guests and spectators the opportunity to view the race in style. The Absa Capital Lounge was also introduced which provided all riders with a ‘chill zone’ full of benefits throughout the race. The Absa Capital Lounge was awarded best service and best debut service by the riders, who scored it 9.3 out of 10.
